That sure looks like a Tranchula to me.... They are famous for jumping....

Oh no we don't have anything like that here in Ohio....this guy is maybe 4mm long. Funny thing....I'm focusing on one spider....and the view finder goes black.....good grief...thought I did something...LOL

Just seeing it here and THINKING of it hitting my lens would have either cost me a D5100 or a heart attack.

Had one of those little critters living in my kitchen. s/he lived in the window track. one day a fly got into the house and made it to the kitchen. the fly landed on the window about 3 inches above sniper spider who jumped and caught the fly in mid air. it was fantastic to see.
