I have some Enloop rechargeable AA and AAA batteries made by Sanyo, I have used these batteries for some years now and they are still as good as new.
I have just noticed that Enloop batteries are now Panasonic branded, Sanyo still sell rechargeable but they are now called "Cyberenergy"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, change, it seems to happen every day doesn't it. Before you know it, a new camera will come out and replace the one you have.

I wonder when they changed? I've been buying them for a couple of years now and they have always been Panasonic. They're still good batteries.

Amazon sells them under their own name. That's what I buy now.

Sanyo developed the Enloop Batteries, then licensed their manufacture and name to Panasonic. I'm sure this came with "non compete clauses". So Sanyo developed a new or improved technology and gave it the Cyberenergy name. It is done all the time among manufacturers.

I have used eneloop (Panasonic) AA rechargeables for years; very satisfied.
Be aware, there have been in the past somewhat different versions with different power capacity ratings and different reviews.

Sanyo was taken over by Panasonic in 2009 (50.2% shares) and completely taken over in 2010 ( http://www.cnet.com/news/panasonic-finally-buys-up-all-of-sanyo/ ) and that is why the Eneloop (notice the extra 'e') now carries the Panasonic name rather than Sanyo. I have used these batteries for several years and have never had even one go bad. I have had them taken from me by Mexican security at the Cozumel airport though!

The link you provided was in fact the Cycle Energy (sometimes mistakenly called CyberEnergy) batteries sold by Sony. A completely different company. Don't know anything about these batteries, but I do know that Sony products are usually very good.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Nikon is being bought lock, stock and barrel by George, Inc and the camera is in for a name change. Any new name ideas.
