Initial process was in Photoshop, then did the black and white conversion in Silver Efex Pro and back into Photoshop to add a subtle toning.
Great great great, you are so inspiring to me, thank you!
I photographed this room back in 2009 on a visit to the USA.
I knew at the time I wanted to make something from it but it has taken me neary three years to figure out what.
It is located in the Smokey Mountain in Tennessee at a place called Gatlinburg. All over I kept coming across these old wooden shack scattered in the fields. The wood was so weathered and textured, it was amazing to see.
This is one place I would really like to go back to if i am ever given the chance again.

Ian: I have admired your work ever since you started posting. Do you sell your images?? If so where can I see your work to purchase prints. Thanks.

Knowing that people appreciate my work enough to want to purchase it really makes me feel honoured and I thank you for that.
When i started out putting my website together, I did not really think about adding an option for sales because everyone was telling me you are unlikely going to sell images on the internet.
With all the kind response and interest I have been receiving on UHH, I have signed up with Fine Art America who will Print and dispatch any sales direct to the customer with 100% money back guarantee.
Not really knowing how to pitch my pricing structure, i have gone through the images that I have uploaded and tried to figure out a reasonable price.
Please have a browse at my galleries on there and do let me know if you think the pricing structure is wrong.

Ian, I love your art and have viewed the link you posted. I think you are selling yourself short with the prices you have listed for your work. As you know, when pricing your photos you walk a fine line of asking too much or too little and falling off that line will turn away prospective buyers. Your work is considerered fine art, not the run of the mill stock photography, and I believe as fine art you could triple your asking prices. If these photos were placed in a gallery they would bring much more than that. Just my opinion.
That piece of work is magnificient. It is mystical. It speaks so many things such as confinement, loneliness, and it is ghostly imaginative. I love it.
Thanks for posting. I will go to your website.
Nice. Creates a definate mood.
"Into the Light" was one of my favorites. I could imagine a person going from the darkness of life into the other side which represents Goodness and Heaven. You are an Artist.
I think this one is the best yet. I get an eerie feeling looking at it.

I have to agree your prices are too low. Love your art.
Why on Earth are you giving these away??? I have sold some at triple& quadruple your prices and they are nowhere near as good!
Love this post. It is so haunting.
After looking at your link I have to agree with the above posts. You need to charge more for your work.
Pricing is tuff in this day and age. The ideal is to sell and your prices reflect that. I started selling sunsets about 6 months ago and now include wildlife. Since 90% of my sunsets sold I increased the price and they still sell but not as fast. The wildlife are selling but not in the store long enough to determine if priced correctly. I'm lucky as I don't rent space in the store, but pay 25% as commission, so they can sit forever but this is not my intent. I've been visiting this store for the last 4 or 5 years and some of the art work and photos from others are still there not selling. The store just passed a rule if an object doesn't sell within one yr then it has to be pulled. A great ideal as we want returning customers to see fresh work.. It's a type of Co-Op and we get involved locally and donate time. If pride gets in the way it's easy to over price your art. You can always increase the price when word gets out and people start buying. The ideal is to get your art work out there for everyone to see, then you create a demand. PS Really like this one.
