Even better than a stick and only a "little" more expensive switch from open circuit to a recreational rebreather. I dive and teach the Hollis Explorer. The difference in fish behavior while photographing on the Explorer is amazing.

Oh I bet. Never got into rebreather's or tri-gas; simply too rich for my blood, but if I had the bucks I sure would be doing them. Do you do any cave diving? I'm not into those real small ones where there is not no room to move.

No caves here either, I love fish. Have thought about doing the cave class just for the skills. Do like wrecks too!

Yeah, wrecks are cool too. Here's the funny thing. When I took diving, back in the early 70's, you got certified and were taught how to dive down to 150 feet. Being a certified diver meant something and you had skills many could never achieve. There were no specialty classes and we used the navy dive tables (which I still use to this day). If you wanted to get into the more skilled dives, like caves, wrecks and such, you took the advanced diver class which also made you an assistant to the instructors. The way worked fine and we were competent divers and dove the hard way with all the early, uncomfortable equipment with no niceties like BC's, pressure gauges and fancy everything else. Then PADI (Put Another Dollar In) got involved and you have to take a course to pick your nose under water. Shows how big corporate sticks its nose into everything and literally ruins it for everyone unless they want to pay all the extortioned fees and time to get their BS certifications. And today they are certifying people that never should be certified; I have taken so many down that do not know the basics of diving and are a danger to themselves and anyone around them. And now you even get state park rangers involved that couldn't find their own ass with a GPS unit and are there harassing you with "park" rules that are next to the most retarded laws any state could ever muster up.

Used to dive a lot. My first sea life was film, my second sea life was digital. Liked both of them. Used them as deep as 100"

I have a sealife film camera too, and the flashes for it too. The flashes won't work on the digital camera without modifying it and they charge an arm and a leg to do it.
