Texas E*****r Resigns Because He ‘Can Not and Will Not V**e For Donald Trump’

In a blog post published over the weekend (https://theblessedpath.com/2016/11/26/conflicted-e*****r-in-a-corrupt-college/), Texas E*****r Art Sisneros made the case that Trump is unqualified to be president. At the same end, he also realized that there was nothing he could do to prevent him from taking office. With that in mind, and his having pledged to v**e for his state’s popular v**e winner, Sisneros wrote that it is imperative that he resign as an e*****r.

If Trump is not qualified and my role, both morally and historically, as an elected official is to v**e my conscience, then I can not and will not v**e for Donald Trump for President. I believe v****g for Trump would bring dishonor to God. The reality is Trump will be our President, no matter what my decision is. Many are furious that I am willing to have this discussion publicly. Personally, I wish more civil officers would be honest about their convictions. Assuming a Trump Presidency is their ultimate goal, they will get that. The problem is, that isn’t what they want. They want a democracy. They will threaten to k**l anyone who challenges their power to v**e for Skittles for dinner. That is evidence alone to prove that our republic is lost. The shell may remain, but in the hearts of the people and functionality of the system our republic is gone. I also believe that a pledge is a man’s word that he will follow through on something he committed to. God’s Word is clear we should all “let our ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and our ‘no,’s ‘no.”[20] I believe to resign is to honor the intent of the pledge as it relates to the people of my district. Since I can’t in good conscience v**e for Donald Trump, and yet have sinfully made a pledge that I would, the best option I see at this time is to resign my position as an E*****r.

Sisneros also wrote in his post that Texas is an “immoral pledge” because it just wants the popular v**es in the state counted and it doesn’t care about the actual office of an e*****r.

What an i***t. So if enough e*******ls resign Hillary will become president; from the frying pan into the fire. A great example of think before you do something. He didn't think beyond his own presecieved commitment, not what it would do to the whole rest of the country.

Not really. Even if all the E*****rs for Trump resigned, Hillary still wouldn't have 270 v**es. In that very unlikely event the President would be appointed by Congress. Having a Republican Congress it would almost be certain that they would pick a Republican President. Maybe not Trump but certainly not Hillary.

I didn't know that. So if they all resigned or enough of them resigned to the point where Trump doesn't have enough E*******l v**es then our Republican Congress would v**e or delegate someone else. There is still a glimmer of hope, be it a tiny glimmer but still a glimmer! Thanks so much for the good news!!
