Wonderful! Were all these buildings rebuilt after WWII?

Nuernberg is not in Dresden!

These are gorgeous shots! After getting the "stuffing" bombed out of it during WWII, it's looking good - unless these buildings escaped the carnage.

He didn't say it was. He said he was headed to Nuremberg the next day.

Yes they were rebuilt after the war. In fact, the Frauenkirche seen in these wonderful shots was just fully rebuilt in about 2004 or '05 after sitting as a total ruin for 50 years.

They really did do a fantastic job. I saw it before it was rebuilt and then again the year after it was completed. They used as much of the original stone blocks as they could which gives it the somewhat blotchy appearance.

Keldon - thank you for responding to some of the questions, I was slow getting back to the site. Most of the interesting sites in Dresden are along the Elbe River. Our hotel is approximately 100 yards from the river. Convenient location to take pictures of Dresden's main sites.
