I was very fortunate last year and entered a photo in a contest put on by a travel company. Kind of forgot about it, and then was very surprised when they called and said I had won! So in Sept. a girlfriend and I went on a Grand tour of Europe. We spent about 1 1/2 days in each place and I will share some of the high lights from each--if you care to follow along!
lots of the famous red phone booths everywhere
we enjoyed being out at night with our cameras, as the crowds were thinner and everything was lit up beautifully
Parlament building
We visited many beautiful churches
Big Ben with the London Eye lit up red
Westminster Abby at night
the south Bank Lion--famous because it survived the war

I appreciate your interest. It was a travel company called Go Ahead Tours and they were having different contests each month to celebrate their 50th anniv. The photo contest wanted travel pictures so I sent in this one I took while in an ice cave under a glacier while in Iceland. I don't really think it was judged by professional photographers--but they told it it was picked as one of 10 finalists and then everybody that works there voted.
A very exciting win -- and an awesome trip I had! I could have picked any of the tours they offered, but decided on Europe as I figured I would never get there otherwise
