Exactly. But the E Bay scammers are becoming more frequent. 😬

stenojj asked about selling lenses. All the replies talk about Craigslist and Ebay, and the scammers that inhabit both. May I suggest that you also contact KEH? Google them. They buy and sell used photo equipment and have a robust online presence. KEH is not a company of scammers. I have bought and sold several pieces through them. While I have sold them only one camera, I have both bought and sold several lenses using their website. They are not scammers. They pay fair prices, and will not try to steal your bank account or your identity. With KEH, a deal is a deal that they will not go back on. A reputable company all around, hard as that may be to believe in this day and age. Good luck.

I considered and trust KEH. Too many horror stories about E-bay, Paypal scams where the seller gets ripped off. As of now, PayPal seems to usually favor the buyer. Even the dishonest ones. I very recently sold an expensive lens through the local selling site on Facebook. I listed the item, someone saw it, we met and concluded the transaction. Both parties walked away very satisfied.

The "horror stories" you "heard" were from stupid people who didn't have a clue about how to detect scams. Over 18 years and over 1200 transactions on eBay I've never been scammed once. I purchased tons of stuff (sold too) on craigslist without a single bad deal. KEH, Adorama, Cameta and other "used equipment retailers" are fine...but you pay more for the same used equipment. All you need is the smarts to recognize a bad deal, bad seller or a bad buyer. I hardly ever buy camera equipment on eBay anymore. Lots of equipment on craigslist here in Austin and you can see, feel, smell and try before you buy.

"Stupid" can be such a friendly, helpful, and instructive word. Thanks so much.

Holy Crap! Grow some skin. Besides, I wasn't referring to anyone on UHH, I was referring to those who "reported" the "scams" heard by those here. If you want polite, but silly, responses, return to Facebook or wherever it is that they talk nice and you feel more comfortable.

I'd sell it on eBay unless you want KEH to pay you wholesale. If you sell it at wholesale, might as well list your lenses here on uhh. At those low prices the lenses should sell in no time - but if you want used retail $$$ eBay is the way.

On a side note, even though you didn't ask, I would like to mention that while these all in one superzooms are convenient - they are not very sharp. Of course if you are satisfied with their results, than there is nothing to worry about. Good luck with the sale!
