well if you can't choose nikon, second best is okay!!! lol ( im just kidding, i love my canon 3 in 1 printer) . rebels are fine cameras. sometimes for church activities i shoot their t21 instead of my nikon. looks like you got alot of focal length covered. lexar is an excellantbrand of memory card. now all you gotta do is save up for a shoe mount flash and a tripod , and you will be al set. good luck and post some of your new photos with a canon Yuck! (sarcasm warning)

Nikon EEEEWWW, :D , just kidding, Nikon was a close 2nd, I looked at a few other brands, and the Canon won out.

Canon and Nikon are extremly close in features and performance from what I have seen first hand in my area. Nice choice.

Shoot lots of photos for practice to get used to your new system and then post some here for all of us to see.

My Rebel is my second best friend...my dog being my first. I have many more expensive Nikons and Canons, but the one I lug around the most is my Rebel. Study your manual and use all of the features and you will not be looking around for an upgrade for a very long time...if ever.
