Looking at all the goodies offered, I'd say On1 RAW converter is going to be right up there for the average editor.
One thing I noticed, and I quote: "Non-destructive editing for raw files, JPEG, TIF, PSD, PSB, PNG, & DNG". That has me puzzled.
Does that mean they do non-destructive finished copies of jpegs, or does it mean they make a 2nd copy of the original then do all their magic, or do they have a method of making a copy of the original and just adding their edited goodies to it as it is re-copied, or what??
Another question is; what about near future updates? I'm sure once they release the final product something will need to be "repaired" here and there.

Changes are saved in a sidecar. And they have already published a "release" schedule with what will be included in each release. The first "finalized" version is a little under a month away. The rest will come in early 2017.

I wonder. Lightroom writes the changes (those written to sidecar files for RAW images) directly into the JPEG file (since it is a writeable file). You can confirm this by opening a JPEG image the has been processed, closed and saved and then hitting the "Reset" button in the Develop Module.
Yes, many, many, many future updates. This will start about a week after you get whatever is the latest version, for an additional charge of course.
