A small lake in the bush, hard on the eyes, I know. Had to use the small white fence as a reference to where the shoreline was.

It's nice although I feel the fence might need to be toned down a touch, my eyes have a hard time moving around to see the rest of the image. I like that most of the image is the reflection.

Its one of those images that as you say is hard on the eyes. So hard in fact that one ends up saying why should I continue to look? Must have been a terrific sight in real life but not convinced it translates into a good snap.

This image is more unusual than it first looks. The shapes and their reflections, particularly the one that emulates an X and rectangle of the bridge, create a sort of optical illusion for me that is almost dizzying and the shapes seem to overwhelm the content. That may be the point of it. If it is, some richer PP to bring that out might support the goal. It has some similarities with your Tapestry image. I have to say it is a hard image to critique without knowing more about what you wanted to accomplish with it (and even then I might not be smart enough to be of help )

I knew when I saw it (the lake was like glass) I wanted to take the shot. I look for repetition of shape, form and color in nature sometimes. I have many cropped versions of this shot. Still not sure how it will end up. I put this one and "tapestry" on here sort of thinking outside of the box with regards to natural occurrences. I admit it is like an "eye puzzle".

I understand. I have one of its cousins from Ontario, and I have not figured what to do with it. The big X is an eye-catcher, but the question is then what? I hope you'll move this one along and see what else it may do.
