I just bought the Nikon d500 body with $200 off . I got it through B&H $1796 the I purchased the mb17 battery grip $371 bucks. One day after the purchase I see Nikon has $200 off plus the battery grip free. I hurried up and got the deal because the ads said buy by the 19th of November to get the sale. It took a few days to get here now the new sale goes through the 26th. But apparently the sale didn't go off but they extended it with more. Any suggestions from my fellow hoggers

Why don't you call B&H,explain and ask for the deal? You can return your purchase, but I assume they will take care of you.

I'm going to do that but wasn't sure if they would. I don't really have the time if they want me to return it and then them send out a new one with the free grip.

They are interested in customer satisfaction. Hopefully you didn't register the warranties to complicate matters.

Get on the phone!! I'd be shocked if they don't take care of you! That has been my experience a couple times in the last few years.

I'm getting ready to call them as we speak. It's odd also I purchased a Nikon 300 afs d f/4 from them a while back the the next day B&H advertised the new Nikon 300mm f/4 . They told me I could return it but I kept the old version. Good folks there

Was thinking the same thing.... lol... i have a Nikkor AFS 80-200 d F/2.8 thats getting the AF motor replaced this will help pay for that . Also i have a D810 that mysteriously looses power. My local camera shop said it was the MB 12 battery grip. I sent the grip in and its getting repaired costing me $190.09 to get fixed.thing it the camera is still having power failure. I told the camera shop. they seemed to not even care. Now i have to send in the d810 body to get fixed. It will not go through them. They have been rude and Uncaring towards me as a customer. I've never liked their attitude towards their customers but i wanted to give local business my business . Ibelieve in supporting the small local businesses. I firmly believe they don't deserve to be in business though.Even if i pay slightly more for a product i want to support local. But if you want local support you should give customers good service.
Have Roberts camera getting the lens repaired. always had great service from them.

I just received an extended grip for my D500 yesterday! I prefer it for vertical wildlife shots in particular. Bummer is I need another L-plate to fit the grip. I may just get the base plate because most of my use is with lenses that have collars. It never ends!

I have no one local so I send my gear to Nikon. Service can sometimes be slow, but I have viable back-ups. Hopefully your grip won't be implicated in the camera issue. Good luck!

I also ordered the Really Right Stuff L bracket for the grip. I have the same one for my D810. The quality is phenomenal. I've bought lesser and have regretted it. I don't have a lot of money but when I buy I've found it's usually best to buy quality. I mostly use the L bracket in Landscape but I put a bracket on the portrait side for my Spider Holster. Love this system.
