The Ark Experience

Mrs. H and I took a weeklong trip thru 9 states recently and one of our stops was in Williamstown Ky. to see the Ark Experience. For anyone who hasn't heard of it, it's a full size replica of Noah's ark at the center of what is going to be sort of a theme park but not quite. By that I mean I don't foresee any rides unless you consider a zip line a ride. There will also be a petting zoo. The heart of it is the Ark. The attached photo was taken from about 1/2 mile away. If you enlarge it and look toward the bottom of the ark you can see a couple of people there to give you an idea of the huge size of this thing. You can tour the inside to see the designer's concept of how the animals were caged, fed and watered. There are a couple of theaters inside showing how the world looked at the time and after the flood. We didn't take the time to see those as the lines were quite long.

My wife and I visited the Ark Encounter on my 70th birthday, Sept. 23. Definitely something else and well worth going to see. My best pictures are on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/roger.bruner/media_set?set=a.10207436720940888.1373607278&type=3 for anyone who's interested. :-)
