I have a Tamron 10-24 I usually use on my D5100 - Just ordered this 11-16 Tokina to (usually use) on the D3200 - If you have this glass let me know what you think of it - Feel free to post sample images taken with the lens if you like.

Cheers!

I'm using the Sigma 10-20 f3.5 on my D7000 and I really like it.

Exceptional lens, especially at this price point. Check rope details and writing on red sign behind red chest like object-center right. Check room details on second photo.

I'm sure that's nice but it has nothing to do with the original post. Geesus.

I have it and am very satisfied with it. I use it for lansdscapes and astrophotography.
Don't have any readily accessable shots though. I think your gonna be quite pleased.

Ah yes, one of those strict rule authoritarian type guys. I bet you're a blast at parties. I'll try to check my impulses next time lest I offend you again.

I don't go to parties. If you define an authoritarian as one who expects posters to stick to the topics posted, I happily plead guilty. I can think of a name for those unable or unwilling to do so but it wouldn't escape the censors. Take a look in the mirror and you'll get the picture.

Taking your side - the OP wrote about two wide angle lenses he is planning to use on two different Nikon DX bodies. Your response simply mentioned another wide angle lens you happen to use on a third Nikon DX body - seems pretty relevant to me. This, as you know but others do not, is a place to "share" ideas and experiences. Thank you for taking time. /Ralph

Wow! Clear and sharp above 100%!

Thanx for sharing. I am considering this lens.

I have been on the road on an engineering project for 8 days, just flew home tonight. Timed delivery today, my wife had the packages sitting on the dining room table waiting for me. Will take some initial test captures tomorrow and share.

Cheers!

I see the Tokina 11-16 2.8; and I also am aware of the Tokina 11-20 2.8. Do you think the additional zoom capability warrants the amount of the additional price? I think the difference on Adorama is some $90 or so? Is that a appropriate price difference? I don't know; am just asking for thoughts... What led you to choose the 11-16 over the 11-20? Thanks, Lou

The lens you have and the Tokina are almost the same. Wouldn't a different lens help you more?

No. I just wanted to have a second good quality wide angle lens to mount on both the DX cameras, in case my wife and wanted concurrently to capture wider focal length images at a session using those cameras.
