Hi everyone not a beginner sort of in the middle, I purchased a D-70 years ago shot well with it, considering upgrade to a D-750 but I hear the Cannon line is better I like Nikon for a non professional does it really make a difference. But I really like to know which one is better.
Comparable, but I'm partial to one from past experience with prior cameras with the brand.
If you like the controls and feel of the Nikon, and have lenses and accessories that fit the Nikon, I would probably stay with the Nikon so it wouldn't be necessary to re-purchase everything.

Canon, rather than Cannon.
But it would be like starting over the D-750 is a full frame, my D-70 is not. So I got to basically got to start all over... that's why I wanted to know which one really was the best

Every owner thinks their brand is better, but the truth is both Nikon and Canon are top quality cameras. You may want to stick with Nikon since you are used to the menu system, but if you decide to switch to Canon I'm sure you will be happy.
Neither is the "Best". That is a subjective term that different people view differently. Just like the old saying "One mans trash is another man's treasure" What is best is in the eye of the beholder.

Better is subjective. Try them both, the ease of use, the look, the feel, then make up your own mind.
It depends on the category of crop sensor vs. Full Frame. Canon's full frame, 1DX Mark 2, is more distinguished among professional sports and weddings. Among Canon crop sensor cameras, you have the entry level Rebel Series, and the intermediate 80D. Among Nikon, you have the 3xxx, 5xxx, and 7xxx Series cameras. All very good cameras. The Canon 6D and Nikon D750 are very good mid ranged priced full frame cameras. Which is better? That's an indefinite debate. Canon however, is the king of marketing cameras. And I say that as a Nikon owner. Do your research on each.

Ken Rockwell thinks Canons are "better" - check his website ....
Which is better; Ford or Chevy, Pepsi or Coke, Nikon or Canon. It is all a matter of opinion. But in your case if you like the Nikon menu set up I would stick with Nikon. That 750 is a top camera. But the Canon EOS 5 Mark IV is the most popular. There you go, clear as mud
