Macphun released their new editing software Luminar. Initial reviews gives it a thumbs up. It is a stand alone editing app, but can also be used as a plug-in to Lightroom and photoshop. My initial review also gives it a thumbs up but at this time, not a replacement for Lightroom (although many have hinted that it appears to be targeting Lightroom as an option (although they do not have any features for managing/organizing photos and is strictly an editor.

I have it but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll try to get to it this week and see what happens.

I just started playing with it today. It seems pretty good, it did a good job with an overly dark photo I used it on. I'll want to spend more time with it, but so far so good. As well as a plug in for LR & PS it can be used as an extension for Photos For Mac which is how I have it set up.
Also just got it loaded but haven't had a chance to do very much. Did poke around a little and the interface is pretty straight forward. A lot of presets with quite a bit of control for adjustments. I'll get more into it in the next few days but, so far, looks like a Keeper.
