I have recently purchased hdr software from Franzis and find it very hard to use. I get daily email with offers. Are any hoggs fans of any of their software. Any thoughts about tutorials?

I tried some of their software and found it difficult and annoying, deleted the program and took myself off of their email list.

I used their software for a while. I'm primarily a PS user. I do use other software just to have some experience with it and be able to make recommendations when the subject comes up. I found no issues with their software at all. It was somewhat intuitive and I got the results I expected.

It was my hope to use the hdr from on photo option in their hdr software then shifting to Picasa for final editing but I cannot find how to save the generated hdr version.

Yours may be my best choice. Thanks.

For HDR, try Photomatix Pro. Great program and easy to use. Unlike other programs, it will load a single image and turn it into HDR. Works best with multiple exposure images, but not necessary.

I use Franzis HDR as a Lightroom (version 5.7) plug-in and it works perfectly. No issues and it automatically saves the edited image and imports it back into the LR catalogue just as it should. I used to be a Photomatix fan, but now prefer the Franzis software by far. It's a lot more powerful so it takes a bit of reading and experimentation,, but I think it's worth the learning curve. StackSocial is still advertising the Franzis HDR at a screaming deal for those curious people out there.

I have bought them, and find them not bad to use (once you figure out what the settings do). Almost always, it uses settings that are too harsh, and if I back off from those settings, it looks much nicer.

I don't have their HDR program, only their sharpening program that I find is useful. The menu system is somewhat different from what I am used to, but I find if I experiment I can get useful results.

I am planning on downloading a trial version of their HDR but for the time being I use LR HDR, Photomatix or Aurora.
