This is a composite of five separate photos I shot a few years back and a bunch of digital painting to include her hair, face, legs, shoes and smoke ...

Very nice! I would like to see the individual photos.
Awesome. The icing on the cake would have been to get the shadows on the floor to include shadows of her legs.

Thanks R.G., glad you like ... also, those shadows are of her legs as well as the mic stand, from two different light sources.

Here are a few of the pics I used, the others are on an external HD that doesn't appear to want to mount up this a.m.
That is an awesome composite. The only thing that bothered me is the angle of her one leg. But that is not a deal breaker.
Excellent work, as always. Your projects amaze me in their detail. Someone mentioned the pose being awkward but I often see these performers writhe about and twist themselves into more awkward positions than this, so that's not a big issue for me. I'm glad you share your source images with us. in the world of composites, you give us something to aspire to though we know we probably will never arrive!
The shadows are somewhat confusing. There is a shadow extending from her left leg, but it has a strong light lighting the back left side. There is no corresponding shadow from the right leg. The X shadow seems to be the result from a set of flared lights which I wouldn't expect to see.
Otherwise, I appreciate the quality of the editing you are so masterful of.
That's a whole lot of work Don, and with a superb result. Love the feel of it, we're there, it's raw! Exceptional.

The photo is not really my taste; but I am always in awe of your technical skills. I think it approaches magic.

Don, you are clearly the MASTER at composite work !!! I absolutely love this. I can imagine the amount of work and time involved, so I appreciate the fact that you shared this. I just hope that someday I will be able to get half as good ... but doubtful, so I will just have to settle for now. Again, very nice work !!!
Dave
Edit: I forgot to mention, very creative on showing blur/action with her strumming hand !!!
