Problems with my new Wacom Tablet

I have been using my new Wacom Intuos Pro tablet for 2 months now and I love it. I find a few things frustrating about it and wonder if others have had similar problems:

1) When I use it to move sliders in Lightrooms Develop module, I get it where I want it and then when I release it, the slider moves one way or the other. I have tried changing to a harder sensitivity and it didn't make much difference. I have been known to have a pretty steady hand so I don't think that is the problem. Does anyone have a good remedy to this without reaching for the mouse or keyboard???

2) When using the tablet , it will frequently lock up. I have to move the mouse or push the eraser end of the pen to unlock it. This drives me nuts. Anyone else having this problem??? I see there is a new update for the tablet. I hope this fixes it.

Thanks for any input!!

John

Call their customer service. You get a real person rather quickly.

Thanks, for the freezing problem I will first install the software update. If it is still a problem after that, I will call Customer Service.

For the slider troubles in Lightroom, I am not so sure that is a problem with the tablet. It is either how I am using it or I need to find a different way to adjust the sliders using the tablet. Just was wondering if anyone else has addressed that issue.

I'm lefty so I draw or use the pen/stylus obviously in my left hand, as for the sliders I use the mouse. For me it just seems more natural. But if/when I do adjust sliders with the pen, I have no problems.

Often times when using my tablet I find it helpful to move the mouse away from the work area as any mouse movement will cause problems, often I turn it upside-down.

The trick to using both is not to use one while using the other(either or, just not both at the same time... :) just lift your hand off the mouse while using the pen...I do it all day long without a problem. If I happen to hit the mouse, the pen and mouse argue a bit. Otherwise they work fine if while using one, the other is left alone. While I'm using the mouse, I keep the pen about 2 " off the surface or off to the side...while using the pen, don't touch the mouse, after a while your using both in harmony and don't even realize it. Almost forgot, I also use a 3Dconnexion Space Navigator with some of my 3D programs along with the pen...
