Went out in the rain to shoot this. 30 sec exposure at f11. That's the Buda Castle in the background on the hill top.

That's a keeper. Even better in download. Worth going out into the rain. I am a fan of B and W. My wife and I are going on a river cruise from Germany to Budapest. Where was this taken?

This was taken in Budapest on the Danube river bank from the Pest side. You'll love it here, lots to shoot.

This is a superb Black and White Photograph in every respect.
Composition, tonal range, definition it is all there.
What is more, it looks obsoletely great in the download.
Very well taken and processed.

Beautiful. Two years ago we took a Viking River Cruise and the ship docked, overnight, underneath the bridge. Loved Budapest, especially the Gundel restaurant!

You posted some beautiful work. I was in Budapest two weeks ago on a working trip. Stayed about seven subway stops from the center of Pest. Weather was not good until shortly before the return drive to LJ. Hope to return in the spring with the camera, stay in University District, and wander alone for a day or so and then have a friend and native of Buda get me to the bridges etc. and things I wouldn't necessarily know about.

This bridge was built by William Tierney Clark, he built a prototype of the bridge across the Thames at Marlow. It now has width restrictions (6' 6") and a weight limit (3 tons) but none of these stopped a Lithuanian truck driver take a 40 ton artic over. It's said he caused £200k worth of damage, but the bridge is due to reopen in a week or two. Seems those old bridges are a lot tougher than they look!

Just as well - my canoe club is underneath the North end.
