This is my second attempt at a moon shot. I posted one a few weeks ago. This one was much brighter and took more work. It amazes me that with my equipment that I can even get a recognizable shot of the moon.
Took this with a Canon 60D using a 70-300 mm canon lens on a tripod with image stabilization turned off. Set my camera to spot metering and metered off one of the gray spots on the moon. Ended up using manual focus with settings of f16 1/25 of a second with an ISO of 100. Shot in raw using auto white balance. I did some cropping to get the moon this big.

Thank everyone for your comments. I got interested in trying to get shots of the moon after seeing many posted by others. I seriously doubted that I would get anything much with my equipment, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Cameras and lenses have come along way in the last 10 years.
