Tethering a d3100 to a laptop?

Has anyone done this? Checked FAQ and did,t see any thing

Nikon makes Camera Control 2, and you can use Adobe Lightroom for tethering.

Sofortbild is a free program for tethering Nikons to a Mac, but it won't work with Windows.

There's a program called "control my nikon" the test version is free, but ater 30 days it costs about $20.Just go to Controlmynikon.com

I use aperture and you can tether with it.
