Nikon D7100 vs Cannon SX50

Just tried two shots of the moon with two different cameras. 1st one is with my Nikon D7100 with a 55-300mm at 300mm and heavily cropped. 2nd one is with my SX50, heavily zoomed. I think the Nikon wins. (Might have been better if I could ever remember to turn of the VR when using my tripod!)

I did the same thing only it was with a Canon 60D at 300mm and a Canon SX 520HS.

I just finished shooting the last of the super moon. I did shots last night with my Nikon attached to a telescope and the Canon SX50 on a tripod. Very close in IQ.
