My Hog visitor update

I managed to get my little hog tonight after popping out every 10 minutes to see if he was there. On weighing him he was 483 gm which is a gain of 111 gm in 6 days. He sure eats plenty of meal worms which will fatten him up. I put him back in the tunnel leading to the house where the food is and waited to see what he did. He ate some more worms and some dried food then went into the house. I think he has a sleep and then eats the rest of the food which I top up and goes else where to spend the day sleeping as he is not in the house in the morning when I check...

I will Linda and so glad that he is gaining weight and I hope he gains enough to hibernate, the weather is not that cold yet so he may have a few weeks yet.. I have decided to call my pup Blue as he is a Blue Merle..

HI Angela this one had the nail polish on so I will keep an eye out for the other unless there is just one. With the weight he has put on the one that I weighed two days later might have been the same one and had put on 2 gm, mind the food is going down, two lots of meal worm and biscuits I put out every night with 1 lot of cat food ( under a container with a small hole so the cats do not get it) and it is all gone in the morning.. I think he now comes, eats and has a rest in the house and then eats and goes somewhere else for the day... I am just a drop in food bar..

HI Sylvia So am I pleased that he is doing fine. They need to be looked after. My sister said she saw a TV program saying that now people fence their gardens and do not leave holes for them to wander and there are so many gardens that are paved over that they are losing their places to feed. As I will have two greenhouses and a large polytunnel with all kinds of things growing that the slugs like I hope that he will live in the house I made and put in the rockery and be a fat happy hog after eating all the slugs..

Hahahaa.... well thank God you feed him and he knows where to go! Wouldn't it be neat if you could attach a cam on him so you can see where he goes!!
