Garage storage for that artificial Christmas tree?

We bought an 8' artificial christmas tree (with lights) last year. We stored it down by our bar, but I'd like to do differently after this Christmas. I'd like to store it in the garage. We live in the Mid-West, so we have some summer days near 100.

Have any of you had experience storing your artificial christmas tree in the garage or attic?

I have. I stored mine in its original box in one corner of the garage. We did that for a few years then sold it at a garage sale and gave up decorating... too much bother putting up and taking down. Besides we have no family near.

I have had the same one for 20 years and it is still in fine shape. Stored in the attic.

Since you are in Kansas City, and we are in St. Louis, weather conditions should be similar. Thank you so much for the information. I'm now concluding that the garage should be just fine. I'm still curious to learn about other experiences, especially if extreme. I'm also hoping this information helps others as well.

Remember, it is not a heat or cold sensitive object by any means. Just keep it boxed or wrapped to keep the dust out.
