A Fly, a Katydid, A Caterpillar

#1 I thought this fly was dead. It was on its side. My first shot concentrated on its head. The body was out of focus. When I went to take a full body photo, it flew away. I think it's a fly.

Your caterpillar looks surprisingly similar to a Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillar.
