What can I do better?
I have a feeling you'll like what I did with the first photo. Always remember you're the one who took this shot. You did a spectacular job of capturing the beauty & personality of this woman. Thank you! :)
A few tips, always try to position the model so that their eyes are 2/3 of the way up the frame. I added canvas and re-cropped to make it so. Next try to remove color from the whites of her eyes and teeth. Notice I didn't say whiten or brighten just remove any traces of color and she will shine. If you are going to sharpen do so on edges, not skin. Sharpening exaggerates wrinkles and blemishes on skin.

Thank you, she is a freind and only 16, very natural beauty. I didn't do much to it bit I feel yours is a little too much retouch, just my opinion.

2nd picture: Shoulder is square to camera ... main light is casting a hair shadow on her face; move light or turn subject in the opposite direction.
3rd picture: Shoulder is square to camera ... Turn her slightly to you.
original ...no PS retouching
Thank you, I agree, they would look a lot nicer, especailly the last one, the shoulder looks too big.
