Looking for new photo editing PC because my 2gb ram laptop is very slow to run lightroom and Photoshop at the same time how does this setup look:
Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0Ghz CPU
•ASUS Z170-A Motherboard
•16GB DDR4 2133Mhz Memory
•1TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200RPM HDD
•6GB nVidia GTX 1060 DVI/HDMI
•1Gbit Ethernet Adapter
•8-Channel HD Audio
•Corsair Carbide Alpha Mid Tower
•600watt Corsair 80 PLUS Power Supply
•6 USB 2.0 / 3 USB 3.0 Ports
You need to add a copy of Windows.

I'd recommend an SSD for the C drive.

I'll probably mostly likely get windows 10 since I can't update to the newest Photoshop version without it on cc
Pretty much exactly what I just got...
I'd bump the RAM to 32 Gb, higher if you can afford it.
SSC for C: - OS only, no files.
Graphics card capable of multiple monitors.
Windows 10 Pro, not Home.

What size SSD Drive?
You should use it only for the OS and for programs. 256GB should be enough.
You should go with a 500 gigabyte main drive. They're reasonably priced now and once your add Office, Photoshop & Lightroom you will quickly exhaust HD space. Win 10 eats over 30 gigabyte. My C drive uses 330 gigabyte.
Add a 1Tb SSD for your c drive and use the standard drive for data.

I just finished one very similar to this.
Differences:
32GB RAM - 3333MHz
Samsung 500GB M.2 for the C drive
750w EVGA power supply
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
4TD HGST Desktop D drive
ASUS GeForce GTX 750Ti GDDR5 graphics card
2 Asus optical drives
NZXT Phantom ATX Full Tower - too big!
Windows 10 Home 64-bit OEM
It was my first build, and it was very satisfying getting it completed. I'm just about finished installing programs and data from my other computers. Get CrystalDiskInfo (free), and it will give you all sorts of information about your drive(s). I thought the Asus "manual" was awful, but their online email support is pretty good. Be sure to install the memory in the recommended slots - A2 and B2, I think. Did you check out your components on PCPartPicker.com? It will alert you to any conflicts.
Let us know how this turns out.

I compared the two versions, and Pro offered me nothing I wanted, so I saved some money.
The one I posted I got from ecollegepc.com I just copy and pasted what is shown is over $1200 by adding the SSD and the larger HD and windows 10 the price went to $1800 what is a cheaper alternative that is just as good or what can I change to go cheaper I know the case is one because ii is just a pretty gaming but what else
