What is the best Fluid Head to buy? The cost is not an issue.
Welcome aboard.
Any of the main brands should have one that meets your needs: Arca-Swiss, Manfrotto/Bogen, Benro to name a few.

Stating what is best sets the author up as all-knowing. I have used quite a few. when you get up to the "Really Right Stuff" level you can't go wrong but there are others in that area that are every bit as good. Take a look at
http://acratech.net/product.php?productid=69&cat=1&page=1They also make a extremely high quality head using aircraft aluminum to very tight tolerances. If you call them they sometimes have "Scratch and dent" models for 10% off. That's how I got my "Ultimate" Ball Head (thats on of their models great for Macro work) and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I think B&H sells their stuff as well but no discount.

If cost is not an option, will you buy me one too?
I want Fluid Head not Ball Head.
Thank you folks for not reading the question. This is my big argument about UHH responses. Yes, a fluid head is very different than a ball head and is used for motion picture (video) cameras. I recommend Miller as a brand that has been around for many years and makes models that handles cameras by weight. They are mostly "ball & claw" mounts and come in standard sizes. I've been using a model II for years and am super happy although I probably will be selling it with my full size DV camcorder soon. Hopes this helps you and my best, J. Goffe.
