My Grandmothers car, probably about 1920's ..... what is this vehicle, possibly a Ford? Looks sort of gangster'ish!
Thanks, Trish

Doubt if it's a Ford. Their grills were flat not rounded.

Most definitely not a Ford, nor a 1920's model, the rear hinged doors (suicide doors) point to 1932- 1933 vintage.
After much search I found an image of a 1933 Desoto that closely resembles your grandmothers car
search wikipedia for 1933 deSoto
I would post a link but I did my search on a second computer and the url is too long for me to type without a mistake.

Thank you Manglesphoto! You've steered me to the right direction.. a Chrysler. Model still not figured out as it looks like it's not a 2 door.
Interesting... as my grandfather worked for Ford for most his life.

Wrong grille and radiator cap for a Chrysler Your car grille has no center divider.

Just wanted to thank you for posting this link. This is one of the best websites I have ever seen for classic car photos, memorabilia and commentary. Sorry I can't identify your grandmother's car with any assurance even though my dad had several from that era when I was growing up. No doubt there are some here who will be able to name it and some who may have owned one. Thanks again.

Yes DeSoto was mfg by Chrysler, it was said that the DeSoto was the car that Chrysler used to test their designs on to see how the public would respond before bringing them out on Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth cars. The DeSoto faded out sometime in the 60s . We had a 1937 DeSoto when I was a kid and a 1936 Plymouth.
Oops I forgot about the "s"

Your welcome Thruxton, I also admire the posters who share their classic car photos.
