I am new on this site. Lots of great post, Photo's etc. I just recently upgraded from a rebel xt to the t3i 18mp.
Decided to improve my understanding of taking pictures.
The one really dumb thing that I did was to quit taking my Xt out on my jogs and tried using my cell phone camera and a power shot. Became quite unsatisfied with my pictures and quit taking pictures altogether.
I've learned my lesson and will be taking my new camera out on my runs.

Welcome to the forum, Larry. I was going to ask about your moniker, but you sort of explained that in your intro :)
I know what you mean about the phone camera and P&S. I've been dissatisfied with 100% of my phone pictures and about 90% of my P&S (older sony). Matter of fact, I've had only 1 picture from any phone I've ever owned that was worth keeping, and that one was from the first phone I ever had that had a camera in it. I think it was before they started touting megapixels in cameras :)
