This is actually a shot taken in daylight. It allowed me to drop the exposure and selectively add areas of light in different strengths and tints to imitate a harbor scene under moonlight.

Wow! I love what you've done with this shot. It's very dark and moody and the lighting is awesome. Nicely done. Download is a must.

Jane, thanks for your generous comments. Generally, I opt out of late night shooting, but trying this was an interesting experiment.

Much obliged, Treepusher. It does cover a few seaworn flaws! The ship was easy. It was the harbor/boats that got a larger dose of trial and error to create the lighting on the water without looking bright like the wood on the ship. Appreciate your visit.

Amazing photo, Charmdragon. Your pp work to achieve this effect was perfect. Viewing it in download is a must. Beautiful work that I would definitely print and hang on a wall.

I clicked on your subject and was going to click right back off . When my eyes told me , you got to take a look under download .Wow , glad I did . Love everything about the changes you made . This would make a beautiful photo to print out large like a 13 by 19 that I can print up to , and frame it and hang it on the wall . Well done , and great content in the photo it self... Tommy

Thanks for your interpretation, dpullum. I approached this a little diffferently in that I was trying not to overdo the effect...which resulted in what you explained. Thanks for your kind words and visit.
