Am enjoying just sitting on the patio while we still have a touch of fine weather, enjoying my feathered friends. Tried to capture a few headshots that turned out fairly good (in my opinion) Wouldn't mind some of yours.
All pics were taken using a 300mm on a Canon T6i. In some instances I had to back up a bit so I could get it to focus. Also, at this time, me and my better half would like to send you'all our best wishes for a super end for the year of our Lord, 2016 and many more joys in the upcoming year.
All these characters will be with me for the winter, hopefully, even when the t'meter hits -40.

THAT is quite an amazing series you have there - -
Is your back yard in the midst of an Audubon bird preserve ??
I've been here on UHH for quite some time now - - those are likely some of the best bird shots I've seen.
The EXIF indicates the camera Model was a Canon EOS T6i, Software was listed as Olympus Imaging Corp Master 2.20W
Images shot 10/22/16 with an EF300 f/4 IS USM
Absolutely Fabulous !
Very well done. Gotta love those birds.
Nicely done. All those birds visited in one day?? If so I want to come sit in your back yard :)

Your head shots are spot on. They match the illustrations in my "Guide to field identification Birds of North America." What a great series.
A wonderful series of close-up photographs
Good captures everyone.

Really nice series LittleRed
Usually you don't see many bird head shots. After viewing your shots I am wondering why more bird head shots are taken?

Thanks for looking, tis appreciated. Sadly we don't have anything Audubon in my area, but luckily my yard borders on a small conservation area in our city.
