and I am wondering about it. The sun shining on the barbed wire attracted me and all the weeds around, but I sometimes wonder about what I like and what others think too. The photo did capture what I saw but would I want it on my wall? Probably not, and yet, maybe...comments please and it is ok if you think I am crazy! Please edit if you wish.

No your not crazy at all. We all do this I think. See something quite strange that the light appears to be playing on and we take a snap. The beauty of digital is it costs nothing. So we get home and download it. 99% probably shake their head and hit the delete key pronto at first glance. Some like this merit a second look cos it has a certain strange appeal. For me after that second glance its deleted, you feel its worthy of discussion and that may be the case. You posted it so one assumes it got past the second glance.
As an example of how not to string barbed wire on a fence its the best I have seen so maybe the chuckle one can get from that fact makes it worthwhile after all

Linda, so good to see you posting in the little coffee shop that is FYC!

I likely would have taken the shot because I also am drawn to unique lighting and this spot looks like a partying place for tumblin' tumbleweeds, so there's fun in that idea too

There is a quirky, different kind of feel to it that is interesting to me. I hope you'll feel free to post anything that interests you, and that you enjoy the friendly discussions that result!

Many interesting thoughts Billyspad. Yes, I have looked at it several times and I am so glad for this age that we don't have to pay for film and prints! It is a useless fence for sure except for capturing tumble weeds!Thank you for your input!

I think I would have taken this same shot. The light catching the wire. The beautiful sunny day.The wire caught my eye so it must be interesting. Great day to be out shooting.
When get home I would have downloaded it from the camera. My reacton. Dang now what do I do with it. Lol.I have far too many shots that I am let down after I view it in my computer. So I fell your pain.

Thank you Frank. We do have piles of those tumble weeds here, kind of fun to watch blowing across the roads and fields. I heard New York decorators use to pay good money for them! I do enjoy this section.

I do like the way the light plays on the wire. the fence also creates a leading line. That line does not actually lead to anything; but that is ok by me. I don't think this would make it to my wall; but it is a decent shot. Well seen and nicely presented. I know nothing about stringing barbed wire, so I missed the botched job of stringing the wire that Billy alluded to.

Those thoughts are mine too Erich. I know it isn't great but I still kind of like it. I think the wire might be a little loose for keeping critters in but it is perfect for weeds.👍👍👍 Thanks for the input.
