Love the background, but don't love the door or the floor; they detract.

Don't mean to be abrupt, but there it is....

Different strokes for different folks...

I think the door balances the crack (...in the wall...), and the colour of the door matches the skin tones under the shawl. I think the floor anchors the scene, especially since the dark areas of the floor match the colour of the shoes, the shawl and the crack (...in the wall...). To me, everything is in good balance.

Conclusion: I like it all.

I prefer fewer shadows on the lovely model.

Rob, Vendi is so easy to love because she seems very comfortable with no clothes on in front of a camera. Plus, she's beautiful and has great assets (shaved makes a BIG difference!). The background is a little hot but my eyes are naturally drawn to her, and only her left leg looks a little blown out. I love the mood she portrays: HAPPY!

A smiling face floating above a beautiful feminine body, what is not to love. Perhaps though, a tad tighter crop camera left eliminating the door frame, but all in all a superb art nude image. Well done....

To all of you suggesting the door needs to go... doesn't the bolt (closed) and the lock (closed) add to the mystique? What if the hasp was open and lock hanging in the loop -- would that not convey a slightly different message? The door speaks to me and is part of the overall image.

JohnFrim..I certainly respect and appreciate the way you see this image but to me the "story" here has nothing to do with the frame and everything to do with the beautiful model. If I had shot this and wanted the frame to mean something I would have posed Vendi directly in front of or at least much closer to the frame..but that's just me....;~)

It's too far off to the side and a distraction. If she were involved with it, perhaps you would have something.

She needs to stand on something to keep the entire background stucco, no floor visible.

I'm really taken with the stucco as a background.
