Drinking Buddies... It's a Dogs World! (Re-post)

This is a repost but I feel like it is worth reposting for the many that may have missed it the first time...

Copied from an older post of mine...
"I had to grab my camera really quick to get this shot of my drinking buddies! I almost missed it!

I did NOT have time to set the camera mode because I knew the moment would end and that
I may never get another chance at this priceless moment. As soon as I started shooting they stopped!"

Yes I know... it is out of focus and it s not the best quality but it is the theme and subject matter
that counts the most to me. This was photographed around 2007.

Thanks Erv... much appreciated... was Santa good to you... any new toys?

I haven't been on much lately... too much going on with the family and projects around the house...
I had to go over and help the son-in-law install a new motor for his furnace... his furnace motor went out early this morning...
it is back up and running better than before... blows the heat much better with more force! Got a call from them early this morning...

My camera was growing dust bunnies... had to get it out and take some photos... Robins back on my Holly trees eating the berries...
I took some hand held shots... was a little shaky due to the cold air blowing through the window... went outside and took a few also...

I hope to get back on more often as soon as things die down... also had my credit card hacked for $6018 but I caught it within a few hours...
I called VISA right away and also went online to check my account... it hadn't been paid out yet.. was still pending so no harm done...
I also received a bill from Cincinnati Bell and I don't have Cincinnati Bell... I am on Verizon (cell phone) and I also have a Warner Cable phone
that I only use for a junk number... I use it when checking things out online and they request a phone number... so many companies have been
hacked and they have my info from one of them... probably have yours too so you better activate all of your alerts on all of your bank accounts and
charge cards!!! It saved me a lot of trouble!!!

Doing pretty good Bruce. Still working, but might be done by summer if every thing goes right. I just rebuilt my furnace about 3 weeks ago. Had a hard time finding parts for it tho. Sure was a cold 4 weeks.:) But Janny is fun to cuttle with.:) I haven't hunted for a lot of years. The area where I use to live was all woods. Now there are tons of houses around. I do go out and shoot the guns in the back yard. I have a big woods in the back. After I had the stroke I didn't do much shooting with the camera ether. But I am getting back at it. Janny and I got a new camper last year, so we are going to try and see some of the country. I get 6 weeks off for vacation. So we are going to split it up into 3 or 4 trips. We go see the boys a lot too. One is in Anarbor and the other is in Columbus . We go down there a lot. Janny loves to go see Harrison. And they have another one on the way in Feb. Janny was hoping for a little girl. But they say it is another boy.:):) Well going to go see how the Cavs are doing then off to bed. Going walking at one of the parks we have close tomorrow. Janny is trying to get ready for our trips.:):) Good talking to you!!

Had it last February. It was just a medium one tho.:):) It put me down for about 4 weeks. But I am ornery enough it didn't keep me down to long. It was on my right side. My right leg doesn't want to work sometimes and I look like I have been drinking.:) But it to is getting better. But that is a very weird feeling when you wake up and everything on your right side doesn't work!! I had to fall out of bed so I could get to my phone and call Janny. I have been staying down stairs because my Newfy was having leg trouble. I was only in the hospital for 3 days. I am doing good now. Everything is working.:):) But I get tired pretty fast. That I am not use too!!

Wow!!! I guess I have been away from UHH longer than I thought... time sure flies when you are busy!!! I was spending too much time on here for a while... was taking away from other things that needed attention but that is what I thought retiring was all about... taking it easy and having fun! I said it before but it is worth repeating... I am busier now then before I retired and I was plenty busy then!!!
Just keep a positive attitude and don't let anything rile you up!!! Bad feelings reduce your immune system to fight off disease, and it causes added stress to your heart and other vital body organs... laugh as much as possible... it is a healing activity and laughing boosts your immune system too!

Also eat healthy... eat plenty of Oats with added nuts and/or fruit... Oats will reduce your Cholesterol level and help keep those arteries clean to allow better blood flow! I experimented a few years back... I have been getting yearly physicals and watching my cholesterol levels... my cholesterol level was hoovering around 135-140 for years while I was eating Oats for breakfast... I got tired of eating oats and went a whole year eating typical breakfasts and my Cholesterol level rose to 165! Well I went back to eating Oats and my next checkup it lowered to 140! One thing though... I eat those One Minute Quaker Oats but I fix it differently... Instead of 1 cup of water to 1/2 cup of Oats as directed on the box, I use one cup of water to one cup of Oats but I have to stir it almost continuously for a full minute then remove it from the burner, add crushed Walnuts, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, and just enough milk to make it pasty and Not soupy! When you eat it that way it will act like a cleansing sponge when it travels through your gut sweeping up the fat and grease and eventually lowering your Cholesterol level! Try it... it works! But eating healthy also helps... I eat more chicken and fish then eating red meats... no matter how red meats are cooked they are still not healthy for you... but I must admit I do occasionally eat prime rib and other type steaks but at a minimum!

Well I hope that your recovery is complete and speedy... Don't worry... be happy!!! I use to play that tune a lot on my computer at work, before I retired, to remind myself not to worry and stay laid-back!

Best wishes,
Bruce
