BTW, Google Earth has some pretty good images of the Valley from on high.

Great spot to capture from as the formation is comfortably brought to the viewer with an inherent depth for perspective. Well done.

Stationed near LV in 1958-59 and visited Valley of Fire several times during my stay. If memory serves me, there is a picnic area near the valley, which we used to utilize from time to time. I was into 8mm film (all faded out by now) at the time, so don't have any slides or photos to prove we were there.

We did see a picnic/camping area in the park.
