this is a perishing Nicotiana bloom, single shot, hand held, on camera flash with 100 macro, and yes they are real raindrops, in situ, in the morning.

Nicely done.

And in my opinion, only someone unable to find a flaw would question whether or not droplets of water were from actual rain. Or worse, not seeing any droplets, compliment one for not adding any.

Skillfully done, with plenty of fine detail. And it does look like real raindrops rather than the sprayed on kind

Still, I have to confess, it doesn't have much appeal for me, mainly because of the overall darkness and the muted nature of the colors. I am finding that I complain about darkness a lot, so probably it is just my own preference talking. My eyes seek a light source from somewhere to give me a point to focus on, and more variance in tonalities. Which makes me wonder what this might be like in monochrome...

Thank you for sharing an interesting photo that made me think and will have me looking again to figure out my own reaction.

Thanks, I prefer dark things. As with all my photos on here anybody can modify them to their liking, try monotone if you like.

Downloaded with screen brightness all the way up I find enough light in this image. It is well done no question randomeyes....my only thoughts regard the tightness of crop. I feel cut off and cramped.
