Can't go by what the Mac haters say. It all comes down to what the individual wants. likes and is willing to pay for. You do get what you pay for and a good windows machine with everything a power user really needs is just as expensive as a MacBook Pro.

It's hard to believe that they did that. My Vaio Canvas has 2 USB3.0 ports, an HDMI Port, a Mini display port, SD card port, an RJ45 connector, and a headphone jack. No extras needed.

No, the Microsoft Surface Book comes with these already built in.:

Two full-size USB 3.0
Full-size SD card reader
Surface Connect
Headset jack
Mini DisplayPort

You would need a dongle if you needed a full sized HDMI port or an RJ45 port.

I really wish people would stop using hate talk when comparing computers. It's a personal decision, who cares what another person choses? Why use hate talk about people who chose something different than you? Do you hate someone because they buy rye versus white bread? If I want to buy a Mac, no matter what the reason, why do you care? Do what you want. Enjoy your choice. Geez.

Right. Mine is 2011 or 2012 model, and I can change the HDD and memory. It's running a 500GB SSD now.

It's not a matter of hate. People who write about computers for a living are saying that, compared with the competition, the MBP offers too little for too high a price.

I am a long time Mac user (and lover), but I too have been puzzled about this one. Besides have the only ports being thunderbolt ports, there is no dedicated connection to AC power to charge it. The innovative mag-safe port from previous models that could protect your computer from being yanked to the floor if someone trips over the charging cable is gone. I don't get it.

Who cares? It's a MBP and it runs macOS. That's all I need to know. I have one on order now and can't wait to use that new Touch Bar system.
