Not sure what's up here Dave as I saw two vertical lines and one horizontal before I got crosseyed.

If anything, Dave, this is even more enigmatic than a real Escher drawing. I'll try and figure it out when I have more time.

Next time u decide to get inspired can you please pick something that does not make one cross eyed and nauseous after 90 seconds of trying to work out what is going on!

Don, Billy, Boberic, and Frank S.,
Thanks for your comments.
I couldn't be more pleased at having succeeded to some extend in that realm in which Escher is unexcelled!

Wow.... but best viewed with one eye closed.... otherwise the mind tries to make sense of the wood...

Split in the middle with one side flipped, right? Plus two square inserted at the bottom? You did a pretty good job of lining up the diagonals.

Very well done, Dave. He's served as an inspiration for some of my work, also.

Good analytical eye, Toby!
One flip and a couple inserts for tidying up!

Thanks for looking and commenting.

I should admit that one reason for this exercise was to execute a 3D stereo pair of this originally illusory image...
an illusion of an illusion, as it were....

So, for those able to view stereo pairs, here tiz!
And note not that, since only monocular cues to depth are employed, this stereo pair can be viewed by either the "parallel" or "crossed" techniques.

And thanks, Don and Bob, for looking and commenting...
...and Don, you'll have to use both eyes to view the stereo pair.

I can look at the left, or I can look at the right, but right down the middle is the stuff of nightmares.
