May I ask, what is the wider lens are you thinking of? By the way, I shoot mostly nature and wildlife. I just do the real estate for a friend of mine. Maybe that will grow into something. I just want to do the best job I can for him. With the 820 coming out maybe I could get a used top quality 810 for a good price. I have too much invested in my 24-70 and 70-200 to not go with a full frame now so the d500 is not an option.
You said you had a D4s and now a 810. Why did you change and are you happy with that decision?

I've been looking into the Rokinon 8mm lenses, but way far away from seriously considering. Depending upon that the new version of the 810 offers, I just called it an 820, mine might be up for sale, just have to wait and see. Just so you know, your 24-70 and 70-200 will work wonderfully on the D500, but buy whatever body you want the most. Finally, I did upgrade my bodies last year. I traded in a D3 and a D4s and purchased a D5 and a D810. When the D500 had the temporary price reduction combined with the free battery grip, I also purchased a D500. Having used the D810 as a 'second' camera on the field shooting sports action, I found it came up way short for that task. The D500, however, is just a little monster for sports as well as many other things. I am very happy with my decision as the new focusing system, available only on the D5 and D500 is far superior to anything I've ever used. Best of luck.
