Elementary economics shows that an insurance companies income is customer premiums and earnings from investment. A companies liabilities are taxes, payments of customer claims, company operations overhead, investor dividends, and top tier executive compensations (salary, bonuses, stock options). Those quoted CEO salaries are just the tip of the iceberg. Congress created an ACA that kept the 'profit' in healthcare, in spite of knowing how other developed counties figured out how to take the 'profit' out of healthcare and renain faithful to their individual mores.

They said over and over that you can keep the insurance you have, and you can keep your doctor. But the way they are wording it really means that if you keep your old insurance, then hell yes, you can keep going to the doctor you had or choose any doctor that plan allows. But when you go on Obama Care, very few doctors take it. My sister had to buy Obama Care for 4 months because she wasn't quite old enough yet to qualify for Medicare. So she paid the $300 plus dollars/month for Obama Care and tried about a dozen doctors to have her foot checked out because of a wart that wouldn't go away. Only a couple of doctors would take her, and the appointment was 2 months down the road. She finally gave up, went to an emergency clinic, had her foot looked at for $200, wasn't a wart, was something wrong with the joint cartilage, and then got her Medicare 4 months later. Medicar with the supplements costs her $350/month but she got one of the more expensive plans.
