OK, I sent off my old D70 a few weeks ago to have it converted to IR. Today I just went outside and shout a few shots to see what I got and then played around with editing

I hope your satisfied with the conversion. I generally like IR photos, done them with film for years, then some with digital. However, these look a bit garish and nothing like I expected to see.

Hi Bob, these are just my first try, I have to read up and see how to do them correctly. I was playing around in editing

Ah, I remember my first tries on a few things. The public never got to see them. However, they were an excellent foundation for improvements to follow. I'm looking forward to watching you work through the process.

I recently got an IR camera that I bought on UHH. How do you get to color the trees a different color? Is it photoshop?
I can't do photoshop. Any other way? Thanks

With this conversion you need to set a custom W/B using green grass as a reference and in as near the same light as the subject of your image.
When I get home later today I will send you Some photoshop settings for converting to B&W I/R if you like.
