Need to uninstall Photoshop Elements 14 before downloading LRCC and PSCC?

I did a quick search through the topics on UHH and did not see the answer to this specific question.

I presently have PSE 14 installed. I am going to upgrade to LRCC and PSCC in the very near future.

QUESTION - Can I leave PSE 14 installed and download LR and PS without any issues or would it be better/best to uninstall PSE 14 before doing the download?

Either way is OK with me. I just don't want to spend time post-download having to resolve any conflicts or issues that could be avoided by uninstalling PSE 14 before hand.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Gary

Your only issue may be remembering which program is authorized to do which function.

Thank you all for your responses. Sounds like a consensus to me. Hopefully this will be beneficial to others as well.

Since it is not broken I will not attempt to fix it.

Gary, No need to uninstall it, I'm running with Elements 12 and photoshop 6 and CC. No problem.

Yes, with no issues. Elements can be called as an external processor from LR, as can any other pixel editor. Installing CC will not change anything in PSE - your authorization will remain intact.

You will want to leave Elements at least until you have imported all your photos into LR. After that, it is probably simply a matter of whether you want it on your HD! When you have LR open, go to the "File" menu and choose "Import a Photoshop Elements Catalog".

NO. I have PSE 10, 11, LRCC & PSCC loaded. They are separate and independent programs.

I kept my PSE installed until I decided it was just using extra space on my hard drive and I removed it. I have Adobe CC (Lightroom, Photoshop etc.) and am not looking back.

No need to uninstall it unless you need the space.

Not a fan of Elements 14. It couldn't capture all my photos as I wanted then for the timeline. With LRCC it kept trying to get accepted as a connection and delayed my process. It took Abobe weveral hours to completely dismantle it. I would use Picasa on a laptop for timeline or include all shots in LR catalog.

I have pse13 and PS6, when ever I try and add anything to PS6 such as brushes, it always puts them in the PSE13 program. Then I have to go in and go thru a few steps to get it to load on PS6 and sometimes it wont work. Not sure what IM doing wrong so I deleted 13... other than that Ive no problems.
