If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I actually have been setting up shots like that on purpose. Sometimes, I will try to run around and photobomb their selfie. It helps get some good laughs later, as they start feeling pretty comfortable after some joking around.

True that. If you can't beat em then join em.

Did a wedding last month, they had a setup where you took the pix with your cell and sent it to a site. During the reception all the uploaded pix were scrolling across
a gigantic screen. Once people saw them, everyone had their cell out taking pix. Kind of cool, and also a pain in the butt. Those cell phones were in front of me all night.
Fortunately the wedding planner had enough sense to move the people out of the way so I could get the needed shots.

Invasion of the cell phone cameras I am OK with it, but did a wedding Saturday where one of my better posed shots was on Facebook that night taken with a cell phone. It is kind of deflating because I created the shot and yes mine will be retouched and high resolution, but the wow factor is gone.

Tough last wedding ................... My SD card and computer files went up in smoke. I lost all the RAW data and about 2/3 of the full res jpeg's. I salvaged 1/3 of the pictures from LightRoom preview as I had worked on some before the incident but as they are preview size they are 1440X960 and of course they were jpeg previews.

Never had this happen, the bride is livid. Recovery shop told her this happens all the time, it isn't anything I did wrong, just a surge or something that scored the SD card and corrupted the files on the computer. Even took down my entire computer so they could try and recover.

So I end up with 86 pictures in 1440X960 jpeg of the ceremony and posed shots, about 160 other pictures were lost. I have 142 high res jpeg's of the reception ................ no RAW, zippo ............ gone.

Lesson to be learned ............. have a dual slot camera programmed for dual copy of all pictures. Keep one copy untouched until all pictures are edited, upload and hard copies sent to the couple.

Here are a few from the jpeg preview size files ........... never snapped a plus size bride, dress was very nice, I love the picture of her on the grass. Skin tones were tough as there was no RAW data, just low res jpegs.

Sorry to hear that Jerry. Equipment failure is our worst nightmare. I am paranoid about it and do have a dual slot camera recording raw on one and JPEG backup on the other. I then backup my files on a separate hard drive as soon as I get home. Having said that, it seems that murphy's law will always appear. I was editing my wedding from last weekend when I noticed that sometime between the getting ready shots and the ceremony my settings had reverted from raw on the first card to basic quality JPEG! I have no idea how that happened as it was definitely not intentional. I hope my neighbors did not hear the explicative I screamed when I realized what happened. Not a great catastrophe as everyone is happy with the pics, but I know they are not as good as they could have been.

On a side note, I really like the composition of the pics you posted. Nice use of different angles.
