I was trying to learn how to post photos on my computer and the Kodak advertisment pop up. It's called the Ektra. It says it has 21 megapixels also fast focus and a f2.0 lens. And SLR style dial that allows a variety of settings. They include HDR, macro, night time, panorama, bokeh modes. In manual mode you can set ISO shutters white balance. You can shoot Super 8 video. If that's not enough it also a fully fictional Android cell phone. I guess all the camera manufactures should start putting cell phones on there cameras oh I almost forgot Kodak says it will make pros happy. So I guess I should sell all my stuff. At this time I know I can get a lot more than $550.00 dollars that Kodak wants for there camera cell phone. The leather camera cover looks cool

This Kodak looks nice, but it has nothing new. I already have a 3 year old smartphone that can do all the same as the Kodak, plus it is 41 megapixel, has much bigger sensor, has lossless zoom and a lot better audio quality for video recording. The main problem with this Kodak phone is they are using a sensor that is too small to deliver good IQ.

Kodak use to be a good company. Kodak actually came out with the first digital camera and the idea was scrapped because it would have destroyed their film business. Kodak bought a company Qualex for a film processing business and I believe also Konica. They had many processing plants across the US and Europe. Kodak had many photo labs at one time in various places like CVS, Walgreens, RiteAids, Targets, Walmart and many photo shops. They lost a lot of business to Fugi and HP in their labs. To date the only place I know of with a Kodak digital lab is CVS. Almost all labs have turned to digital for a couple reasons the first is digital has become the way to go and second the disposal of the chemicals needed to process film became to costly. Even capturing the silver from the film didn't cover the costs. They came out with digital cameras a bit to late companies like Canon and Fiji etc. ran with the ball. They were behind the times and playing catch up. In all fairness Kodak still makes a great photo printer their 6400,6800 and 8100 make a great print. Remember the Kodak Crank Camera? Poloriod won that law suit and they were forced to discontinue making the film cartridges for them!!! Made the cameras for all that owned them useless...

I am still miffed about the instant camera they sold me and quit making the film for. Then at the same time they had had a device with "film" to place under your enlarger to make large prints from slides and am thinking negatives too. I had to toss mine out along with the camera! They surely tossed the baby with the bath water in those days. If you cut off the name plate and sent it to them you got a $25 coupon for a $150 camera! Today I doubt if I would buy anything Kodak for more than $10.

It was stupidity and poor management for not seeing the future. I will stick with my I Phone

I won't be getting one till they get a viewfinder, though.
