Well this is my first post here so I thought I'd share a few pics I've taken recently of Durham city. This part of the North East of England has many wonderful photo opportunities and Durham is very photogenic.
I took these on a day when the light was flatter than a pancake and, although I was reasonably happy composition-wise, the very soft nature of the light made for a not very interesting effect. Consequently, I decided to render the pics in black and white which, to my mind, vastly improves the mood.
Enjoy and comment as you see fit :-)

Willow Tree & Prebend Bridge
I'm really drawn to the willow tree/bridge shot. Looks as if it could have been captured in the 19th century. Good work and thanks for sharing!
Thank you, AK. It's my favourite too. Just got an 18x12 back from the labs and it's even better in print.

Well around here to converse with a British Subject
is ... kinda WILD, BRAVO. V =:?
I like all of these images; however, numbers three & four are stunning, and would make great large wall prints.

Cool pics! The third pic is wonderful...the roughness of the house with the smoothness of the water is very nice.
