Yea - the Pinwheel is finally clearing the trees enough for me to get started imaging and still have a few hours to sleep.
M33-Pinwheel Galaxy
.....and I have had two more pretty good nights of "sky" to image. So any lack of presentation is due to the imager/processor - as in me. Kit - Orion Astrograph F/3.9 8 inch reflector (which needs to be collimated), Atlas Pro Az/EQ Mount - Nikon 810a - Orion SAG 50m - Polemaster by QHY.
160 subs - 120 sec. exp. at 640 ISO - 5.33 hours total exposure
220 flats
30 darks
100 Bias
Calibrated - Registered and Stacked in PixInsight - everything else was done using PSCC - 12 iterations of alternating "levels and curves" - the balance of post was using luminosity masks for selective tonal, contrast, color, and high pass sharpening adjustments. I was curious to see what difference my results would be using both PixInsight and PS. I have yet to process the file in Pix - maybe later tonight when I go out again for another clear sky night - fingers crossed.
Software used, Backyard EOS for Nikon, Polemaster by QHY, PhD2, Astrotortilla, Cartes du Ciel and Team Viewer for remote control, PixInsight and Photoshop CC.

Thanks everyone. Same kit, same process, just better skies and tonight is rated excellent. I will be out looking up! I plan to record the process of imaging M33 from capture beginning to processing end.....probably several videos. I have been asked to do this by our club. As many of you know....I ramble to much in these things but at least I won't be watching it :)

Clouds here starting last night through Tuesday. Supposed chance of rain, which was just spity drips this morning for the soccer game, of course.
But after doing a factory reset of my mount and controller I got my control back. Stellarium went bonkers on me, and the target sight on the screen was several parsecs from the object. Very weird.
But last night I had enough clear skies to proof it out and got some clusters for reassurance.
Probably a square electron...

Here's the skinny....... I took 84 more subs last night and added those to the above image. Stacking, calibrating, and registering the images was done using PixInsight in both instances. But, the first image (also missing 84 images) was post processed entirely in Photoshop. This last image of the Triangulum - Pinwheel galaxy - was done 99 percent in PixInsight.
It's hard to compare two stacks with the latter having data from an additional 84 images - and also hard to compare two different processing approaches. But the results are in. I think I like the last one better but on that I am not 100 percent.
