Many here have Tamron lens.
Which lens are you looking at?
I have the Tamron 18-270 and love it.

I have a Tamron 18-200 and a Tamron 70- 300 both very good lenses for the price.
I have a 10-24 and a 70-300. Both are pretty good glassware for the money. My only gripe about the 70-300 is a rather leisurely focus motor. Wide open, both lenses have a tendency to be a bit soft and display some chromatic aberration but close down a few stops and the improvement is marked.

Which particular lens are you looking at?
Your question is a bit like: "I'm thinking of buying a Ford....are they good?"
I was looking at the 70-300 LD
I have the Tamron 18-270 and keep it on my camera as my main lens. I love it.

I have a Tamron AF 70-300 F/4-5.6 LD Macro...works for me.............
well, I can honestly say I would rather have a Canon lens but Tamron fits my budget well & you can get wonderful shots..I use a 18-270 to carry around & have the big 200-500 for wildlife etc...a respected pro once told me that he switched to canon from Tamron mainly because they are more reliable mechanically but he was very satisfied with Tamron picture quality (& price)..I know exactly what he means because my 18-270 zoom crashed last year in the Galopogas & I had to manually pull lens in & out..part of that was my fault for not having a similar backup..Tamron fixed but still kind of screwed up some nice foto-ops..bottom line..usually get what you pay for..I have the old 18-270 not the PZ new lens..
I have a Tamron 70-300. I bought it for the price and keep it because I love it! Great lens. For a moment of honesty, I use my Nikon kit 50-200 zoom when I'm doing street photography because I like the extra "room" it gives me between 50 and 70 mm's. Would I recommend Tamron? Without a doubt!
