I currently use a camera bag on longer trips by air and never would I check it but
always take as a carry on. I think I want
to buy a Pelican 1510 (carry on) with wheels and am told (by B&H) that it will
hold 2 Canon camera bodies and two
lens (24-7mm & 100-400 II).
But where does one put misc. equip. such
as filters, memory cards, batteries, etc?
i see nowhere to put these in pictures of
open Pelicans. Please comment!

I'm looking at my wheeled Pelican 1510 with the divider system (NOT the plucked foam interior) which is approximately 18" length x 10" width x
4.5" depth (NOTICE this dimension). I have one Nikon D90 with the attached 18-105 VR zoom, SB 910 speedlight, 2 SB 700 speedlights ,SU 800 (flash) Commander, 50mm f1.4 lens, 35mm f1.8 lens, 60mm f2.8 Micro lens, plus a few filters, lens hoods, cables, vertical control battery pack, two extra batteries and a few memory cards.
I realize your lenses are very large compared to mine, but I think you can find some space above or below the thinner part of those lenses for those remaining articles like memory cards, filters, batteries and cables wrapped in thin foam packing materials.
One other Pelican option not mentioned is the substitution of the top cover foam with a multi-pocket insert. However, that removes some important protective foam and I cannot recommend such a solution. Remember the room available in the 4.5" depth of the main bottom portion.
Ted, What is wrong with your current bag system and you think you need a Pelican wheeled bag?

Sit quietly at home; make dividers from foam.
Not that I do much traveling, but while I was researching this very topic I just covered a company named Seahorse which makes these carry-on luggage type bags. Solid extremely well-built and made in the USA. They sell them on Amazon and they are much cheaper than pelican but check them out I don't think you will be disappointed
Here is a YouTube link which I think you'll find very interesting

Actually Jerry, I bought it because the price was right and if I waited longer, it could go up. You'd find a use for it.....even in your car things get bumped around. This is solid, really solid and you don't have to get it w/ the foam cubes (I did), I believe there are a couple diff. styles in insides. Glad you ck'd it out anyway......
I got the yellow!
I bought a used 1650 with dividers and use mine for storage.

Some Seahorse cases have no automatic pressure equalization valve and could get serious deformation in high flying jetliners. Pelican cases, including my quite small pistol cases, all have the valve. Once at an airport I saw a Seahorse which apparently leaked air when at altitude but didn't leak in the opposite direction when it returned to ground. The Seahorse top was caving in about 1.5 inches. No telling what happened to any objects within it.

Well I would only use it as a carry on and cabins are pressurized .........
I used a Pelican case 1510 for several years. The case is regulation size and fits in over head compartments.
The wheels are great when you move for miles between air port terminals. I lined the case with high density"Ensolite foam". I glued the foam to the walls and bottom of the case.
The 1510 holds an amazing amount of gear. I carry a Nikon 200-400f4 - 2 Nikon bodies-a 70-200mm - a wide angle lens plus file cards and other small item. The case can be locked.
Write your name to the inside of your case.
Here's what I've used for the past 6 years for everyday, as well as airline carry on travel. It doesn't scream expensive equipment inside and costs around $40.
